The term REALTOR® is a trademark of REALTOR® Canada Inc., a corporation owned by The Canadian Real Estate Association and The National Association of REALTORS®. The term REALTOR® refers to real estate professionals in Canada who are members of the Canadian Real Estate Association, who subscribe to a high standard of professional service and to a strict code of ethics.

Only licensed members of The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) are allowed to use the REALTOR marks in reference to themselves or their real estate business. The marks may be used by brokers or salespeople only to refer to membership in CREA and not as synonyms for broker, salesperson or any other real estate professional calling.

A commercial REALTOR® may also be a member of The Canadian Commercial Council (CCC) of The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), which represents commercial real estate specialists from Boards and Associations across Canada. The mandate of the CCC is to provide a collective voice for commercial practitioners in Canada.

All Members of the commercial council must be members of CREA. If a local real estate Board or Association has a commercial council or division, the commercial REALTOR® must also belong. This provides them with education and networking opportunities that also benefit you as a client.
